The Local Council has instituted a Mosta Day which falls on 16th September. On this occasion a number of persons and organisations are honoured for their work towards the good name of Mosta. Such recipients of this honour are presented with a medal as a sign of recognition. The bronze medal with the coat of arms of Mosta and the words “Gieh il-Mosta” embossed on it.
The ribbon has five vertical stripes of equal width, which are coloured from thus: red on the fringes followed by gold with blue forming the centre stripe, such colours being those constituting the coat of arms.
